Dracula's Daughters Vs the Space Brains is Now on iTunes!

Dracula’s Daughter vs. The Space Brains takes the classic tale of the vampire and launches it into space. Two vampire sisters, Marketa and Marya are the stars of a Ballet troupe touring small towns across America. It’s the perfect cover to feed on the young men that attend the shows. But when a meteor crashes to earth, and an alien life form infects and possesses an entire town, Marketa and Marya find that they have bitten off more than they can chew. Now Marketa must find untainted human blood to save her sister before her brain hatches from her head and flies away. Will she make it, or has the sunset for the final time on the realm of the vampire?

Hollywood Recycling Batman

WB Reboot's Arthur...

Granted, it IS a classic and one of the 80's more memorable comedies, but the Russell Brand remake is a not the "Recycling we are referring to.

Look at the images...

Wonder if anyone of the artists who contributed to the Batman builds, will receive a little credit at the end?  We doubt it too!

3D is the new Black

Surprise! “Thor” & “Captain America” Will Be In 3D!

An article in the The Los Angeles Times confirms this, in an article on both Marvel Studios projects.

anthony-hopkins-odinxWe are not surprised, hopefully it won't be processed as poorly as Clash of the Titans was.

"However, both movies will use 2-D for principal photography, meaning they’ll later be converted to 3D! And we all know how that’s worked out in recent films that weren’t shot in native 3D, and were later converted."

Uh Oh!

But ... “the considerable special effects for the films were conceived and executed from the beginning in 3-D, something that will help them avoid certain pitfalls…

We came to feel that in our case 3-D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience,” said Thor director, Kenneth Branagh.

Branagh rarely makes a bad film, so we're looking towards the brightside. What do you think?

Both Branagh and Captain America director, Joe Johnston will make presentations at Comic-Con!

The images we've seen so far of Odin and the Asgard Gang look interestingly... flashy.  Let's hope no one forgets the Iconic helmets for Loki and Thor.

Happy 30th, Empire Strikes Back

E-mail Print PDF

A long time ago...

May 21, 1980 to be more precise...

Magic, literally, returned to the silver screen.  We were in awe of Star Wars back in 1977, but could have never imagined what lay ahead on May 20th...  The craftsmanship and technical wizardry from the first to the final frame of this film was out of this world.

Modelmaking, costumes, stop motion, green screen matte paintings, you name it, nearly every practical effect/skill/technique was utilized in this film.  And it all still holds up today.  Even more than the Special Editions, we would venture to say.

Happy 30th, it's been a long, long time old friends, but you're still as amazing today as you were in 1980.

May the Force be with you, always.

Tell us on Facebook, what was your favorite Empire moment?
